About
The 4th Annual GIK Summit is the only event that brings together nonprofit GIK professionals, academics and service providers to raise standards, share best practices and create partnerships through networking. The theme of this year’s conference, Road Work Ahead, indicates a new structure, the result of your requests for a more interactive experience.
Road Work Ahead is the challenge of addressing food security through donated commodities. Is food aid a needed intervention? What are appropriate food aid standards? How can we improve nutrition? How can an organization participate in food aid initiatives?
Road Work Ahead is the commitment to influence our industry and its stakeholders. Come not just to listen and learn but come to participate, to question, share your ideas and expertise. GIK Summit 2011 features six participatory workshops, in the topics of food aid, medical donations, disaster response, quality and accountability, integration of GIK in development and partnership opportunities between business and nonprofits.
Road Work Ahead is the credibility you bring as you network, forge partnerships, and gain recognition as a professional and as an organization that others will seek out when they need a hand or have a commodity in need of distribution.
Don’t miss this opportunity to move forward with us – there’s road work ahead!
